Shopify’s default B2B login flow requires users to verify their identity through a one-time password (OTP) sent to their email. While this works well for individual users, it can become a hurdle for companies where multiple team members share a single login or need to place orders frequently. OTP-based login can also introduce security concerns, as anyone with a known email address may potentially access the store.
To address these challenges, we can help you implement an alternative flow that would allow users to log in with their existing credentials instead of OTPs through our Shopify Single Sign-On application. If you're running a B2B store and your users are managed in an Identity Provider (IDP) or already have existing credentials, they can log in directly, bypassing the OTP step entirely.
Additionally, SSO allows you to restrict login access to authorized customers only, using rules based on tags, email domains, or other conditions. It also supports custom login forms (hosted on Shopify or a third-party platform), so you can authenticate users who sign up through those forms and log them in directly.
