Why do I see the error- License Status: "Incompatible with product license (wrong type)"?
This error occurs when your Atlassian product's license type does not match the miniOrange app installed on it.
What types of licenses does Atlassian Marketplace use?
Atlassian Marketplace offers two types of licenses:
- Commercial/Academic License: Purchased licenses used for production systems.
- Developer License: Free licenses provided with commercial licenses for use in development, testing, or staging environments.
What causes the "wrong type" error?
This error appears in the plugin manager when there’s a mismatch between the license types:
- If your Atlassian product has a commercial license, the miniOrange app must also have a commercial license.
- If your Atlassian product has a developer license, the miniOrange app must also have a developer license.
How can I fix the license compatibility issue?
To resolve this issue:
- Ensure the license type of the miniOrange app matches the license type of your Atlassian product.
- For production environments, use commercial licenses for both.
- For test/dev/staging environments, use developer licenses for both.
