If your RSS feed is still accessible without redirection even after you enabled the Auto-Redirection setting, this may be caused by cached feed content.
When does this issue occur?
- You first accessed your RSS feed while auto-redirection was disabled.
- Your browser or caching saved the old feed content.
- After you enable Auto-Redirection from the plugin settings, the cached version of the feed is still served, so the redirection does not work immediately.
Why does this happen?
- Browsers and caching plugins often store previously accessed pages to load them faster.
- Since the feed was accessed before enabling redirection, your browser keeps showing the old feed URL without redirecting.
How to fix it:
- Clear your browser cache to remove the stored feed content and open a new window to access the feeds.
- If your website uses a caching plugin or server cache, clear it as well.
- Reload the RSS feed the auto-redirection will now work correctly.
