Why do I get timeout or clock skew errors during Okta SSO?

Probable Cause:

The system clocks between Okta and your WordPress server are not synchronized or not having valid assertions.

Solution:

  1. Ensure the Okta server clock is synchronized using NTP.
  2. Confirm that the clock on the WordPress server (SP) is in sync with the same NTP source.
  3. Verify that the allowable time skew does not exceed configured limits.
