Why do I see a generic “we could not sign you in” message after successful ADFS authentication?

Probable Cause:

ADFS is returning an error in the SAML response that the plugin detects as a sign-in failure.

Solution:

  1. Go to WordPress Admin → miniOrange SAML PluginService Provider Setup.
  2. Click the Test Configuration button to see the exact issue reported by the Identity Provider and follow the steps provided to fix the issue. If the issue still persists, please reach out us to on samlsupport@xecurify.com.
  3. If ADFS is the IDP, check the ADFS server event viewer to see detailed error messages from ADFS.
