The addon follows the Atlassian licensing model and according to that the license on the plugin should match the license on the host application. The miniOrange Jiar 2FA addon works on both Jira Software and Jira Service desk.
You can enable 2FA for your Jira Software users, Jira ServiceDesk Agents and Jira ServiceDesk Customers as well.
The license is based on your user tier.
- Jira Software/Core instance → The license tier for the 2FA plugin will be the same as the license tier of Jira Software/Core.
- Jira ServiceDesk(JSD) instance → The license tier for the 2FA plugin will be the same as the license tier of JSD. So the 2FA plugin license will be based on the number of agents but it will work for any number of customers.
- Jira Software/Core and Jira ServiceDesk(JSD) running on the same instance → The license tier for the 2FA plugin will be the same as the license tier which is higher among Jira Software license and JSD license.
