What are the LDAP Service Account Credentials?

23 views 0

A service account is a low-privileged user account specifically created to bind to the LDAP server. It is commonly used for directory search operations and other automated tasks, allowing applications to interact with the LDAP directory in a secure manner.
When binding to the LDAP server using a service account, the account's Distinguished Name (DN) and password are supplied as credentials to establish a connection.
