Shopify’s Customer Accounts, previously known as New Customer Accounts, make it easier for shoppers to log in using a one-time password (OTP) or through the Shopify app. Merchants can also include links in emails that let customers directly access their orders and profiles without needing to sign in. From there, customers can update their customer profile, and the changes will be reflected in the Shopify admin, something that was not available in Legacy Customer Accounts (formerly known as Classic Customer Accounts).
Refer to this page to configure Single Sign-On on your Shopify customer accounts with your desired identity provider such as Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0, Okta, Salesforce and more.

NOTE: For Shopify customer accounts, users are required to enter an OTP during their first SSO login. OTP verification will not be needed for subsequent logins.
